Playmakers®
Playmakers® is the UK’s first sport specific programme for under 5’s. The aim of this unique programme is to include the under 5 age group in fun sporting activities and promote healthy life style values. The Playmakers® programme is tailored towards each stage of a child’s physical and mental development, working specifically around five main topics: Balance, Co-ordination, Ball Skills, Target-based Games and Communication.
Playmakers® was developed over a three year period by studying pre-school activity theories used in different parts of the world, including USA, Germany and Holland as well as in the UK. Several sports programmes have also been analysed such as Tennis, Football, Handball and Netball to ensure that Playmakers® is at the cutting edge when it comes to ball skills exercises.
The Playmakers® programme believes that participating in physical activities and sport has huge benefits for children. Benefits of Playmakers® include:
