The new Academy sessions which began at Parrs Wood High School in February have already been a great success, with many parents and players eager to take part in the advanced level coaching.

This is not surprising as the ultimate aim of the Academy is to assist players with gaining a place at a professional club's academy or centre of excellence. Through PFC's strong links with many professional clubs the Academy can organise trials, scout visits, coaching sessions and games at these clubs with the aim of the players being analysed for suitability.

PFC has worked within the Academy structure of some of the biggest clubs, not just in the English Premier League but the World, such as Manchester United, Manchester City and Bayern Munich over the past eight years. The knowledge, coaching skills/qualifications and experience gained from this work has allowed PFC to develop and expand its very own Academy in the Cheshire area.

The weekly sessions give players a true taste of what it is like to be coached at a professional club's academy. As a result this season alone, the Academy as a whole has had four boys sign for professional clubs and more than thirty in the past five years! Anyone serious about becoming a professional player need look no further.
